Metal Artwork is found in many examples of Mexican Folk Art.
Rojo Lobo has curated this collection from two studios in San Miguel de Allende, featuring:
One of a kind velvet lined metal boxes with different insects hand crafted and set upon their lids, often with semi precious stones. The metals include brass, tumbaga, silver alpaca, and copper. The different finishes of texture and colour are representative of the traditions that have been developed in metalwork from Mexico going back decades.
Insects crafted from tin and finished in gold or silver leaf.
Antiqued mirror frames and panels.
